About me
I’ve always been a curious storyteller. From a young age, communication has been my biggest strength and passion, with humble roots as editor in chief of the high school newspaper. While I took an unexpected turn into a finance career, that same skill became a lynchpin throughout. One of my favorite times was as communications chair for my company’s regional PRIDE team member network, where I helped grow membership, promote community causes, assist with fundraising events, and create engaging content and newsletters (see portfolio). Later, as a mortgage underwriter, I communicated complex information to a diverse audience and told stories of applicants’ creditworthiness based on research and analyzing information. I still told stories — just not quite the ones I truly wanted to tell.
Currently, I’m seeking a grant writing-type role in nonprofit fundraising. I want to lean fully into my strengths and dedication to service by telling compelling stories to donors. The story of a community in need is perhaps the most important story of all.
